Preventing the Attack

This course of instruction, normally given over two days, covers the threat, attack profiles, and the techniques of intelligence preparation that enable you to effectively harden the target and prevent the attack.  We teach a completely different way of thinking about this challenge.  You will learn specifically what you need to do to prevent or disrupt terrorist attacks in your area of responsibility.  We will conduct several practical exercises.  The target audience for this training includes intelligence analysts and supervisors, detectives, TEW personnel, INFRAGUARD members, corporate security officers and risk managers, school administrators, and others with a mission involving security.

Responding to the Attack

This two day seminar is designed for SWAT and Patrol officers.  We cover the threat and how they attack specific target types.  Then we focus on what all this means to your training and tactics.  Interspersed throughout the training are practical exercises stressing how to "think like the enemy".  We conclude with an optional afternoon of live fire on the range using the combat handgun to demonstrate the precision shooting necessary to respond to a terrorist attack.  We will cover the active shooter scenario, commando type attacks, suicide bombers and siege attacks.

Terrorism Awareness seminar

This four hour block of instruction is higher level, more general in nature, and designed for an executive audience whose time is limited or for an audience seeking an initial exposure to the threat and what can be done to prevent and attack.  We cover threat ideology, attack planning, the intelligence cycle, and demonstrate ways to improve your readiness posture.

Exercise and Evaluations

We also are able to conduct exercises to test your capabilities.  These range from relatively simple "table top" exercises to full scale field exercises involving multiple agencies.    Since the exercises are tailored to a specific agencies needs, please speak with us privately about this offering.

Technology Evaluations

Finally, we are able to do an evaluation of your technology situation and recommend an approach to best leverage technology.   Intelligence Fusion Centers and the like are the target audience for this service.

Advanced Wilderness Navigation 

Learn the same techniques used by Recon Marines and other Special Operations Forces to navigate confidently the most remote wilderness areas. We stress the fundamentals of map reading, terrain analysis, and use of the compass to do route planning, terrain association, intersections and resections, find and follow a bearing, and provide training in basic survival techniques.  We conduct our training in the remote wilderness areas of the Joshua Tree National Park.  These courses are for individuals or small groups.  It can also be useful for SWAT and other elite forces as a selection program.
